Weekly Report 5 - Phase 2: Fixing ZIsland functionality and assets in UE5 Editor - WIP


Hello everybody!

We are still moving forward with the ZIsland update. And we have excellent news.

We managed to solve the compiling issue and we were able to export a first executable (full of bugs) surprisingly the final file has a smaller size than the UE4 one... we don't know why but welcome it.

So here is the first executable!


In parallel, while we manage to compile and run the game as a Windows application we advance in the repair of meshes, animations and scenarios.

No more "Silent Hill" atmosphere, the water has been restored ... and it looks better, I think.

There is a lot of work to do, additionally, we will work on improvements in lights and environments.

We are still moving forward, we are on schedule but optimistic.

Good news for now, I think the most critical part has been achieved. Hooray!
