hey there, this was a bug we fixed on next versions, randomly the game does that. You can fix it by deleting all previous saved data and then starting over. that should fix the problem. Saved files are located in your main drive /users/your user/AppData/... /ZIsland, ie:
C:\Users<your_user>\AppData\Local\ZIsland
Delete the folder and then start from the beginning, if, for any reason the problem persists I can provide a saved file to skip that part. Please let me know if it works

Yes, please do and let us know if you found something weird. If you're playing UE5 versions we know there are some issues with previously saved data and Quests, this is due to the way UE5 handles strings. So, if you're trying UE5 versions you might want to return to a previous saved file. Good luck
If the game is getting finished sometime in the future, will it also be sold on other platforms than Steam? I unfortunately live in a country (namely Germany) that blocks me from buying adult only games from Steam and dlsite due to our politicians being the definition of dumb.

Steam, GOG & DLsite don't work for us, unless you use a VPN, then GOG & DLsite seem to work for the most part, but i wouldn't rely on it. Best way to get games like that here so far is either on Nutaku, Itch, Patreon or Subscribestar.

Sadly, not the size of the file due to the amount of images used and current quality. But we managed to fix the VRAM consumption in version 0.22

Probably you need to delete previous saved games. You'll lost progress but game will work.
<your drive>:\Users\<your user>\AppData\Local\ZIsland
Backup your folder (keep it somewhere else) and delete the ZIsland folder
